Mariann Z. Malay
MARIANN Z. MALAY is an an associate with the firm. She was born in 1955 in New Haven, Connecticut. She attended college and received her B.S. degree from Boston University in 1977, magna cum laude, as a National Merit Scholar and as Top Student, Division of General Education. In 1981 Ms. Malay received her law degree from Boston University School of Law where she was a finalist in the Albers Moot Court Competition.Ms. Malay is admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maine and the District of Massachusetts and in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Ms. Malay came to the firm by way of one of its long time clients, St. Paul Travelers Insurance Company where she was Senior Trial Attorney and Litigation Counsel, and in 2002 was interim Manager of the Boston Office of St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance. She was Pretrial Conferencer for the Boston Municipal Court and Pretrial Conciliator for the Brockton District Court. Prior to her work with St. Paul, Ms. Malay was counsel to the City of Boston, representing that city on various legal issues. Ms. Malays practice consists primarily of litigation, particularly in the medical malpractice defense field.
