Defense Verdict Obtained For Eastern Maine Medical Center
After a six day jury trial, attorneys from Gross, Minsky & Mogul obtained a defense verdict for Eastern Maine Medical Center and an employed plastic and hand surgeon in a complex case alleging medical malpractice.
The patient claimed that the surgeon failed to properly treat two broken fingers suffered in a truck rollover accident in August, 2018.
The Gross, Minsky team of Attorneys Ed Gould and Cameron Ouellette and Paralegal Lynn Ingalls obtained a jury finding that the patient released any claims he may have had against the Hospital and doctor when he settled his workers’ compensation case before bringing his malpractice action.
Since the release discharged any potential medical malpractice claim along with his workers’ compensation claim, the Court entered a verdict for the doctor and hospital.
